BulkMail
Peak InfoSystems, Inc.

#27688/1726
makes preparing bulk mail faster and easier. A template lets you repeat fixed
information without having to re-type it for each record. BulkMail marks the
labels so you'll know, without counting, when to tie off a bundle of letters.
It lets select records to be printed on the basis of a starting name, an
ending name, a starting zip code, an ending zip code, a starting date, an
ending date, two flags, an alphanumeric category field, and a group of sixteen
switches in each record that may be used in any combination to select or
reject records.
One of Bulkmail's printing options allows you to create a data file that
can be used with MicroPro International's MailMerge form letter feature, as well
as with the merge letter features of a number of other good word processors.
It will also let you import and export mailing lists, purge a subset of
records, check for duplicates, and define label format.

Zipkey 2.04e
Isaacson, Eric, ASP
$30
#27363/1738 (10-93 CD)
allows instant access to any of the more than 43,000 zipcodes in its complete
city-level directory of five-digit U.S. zip codes. In the non-resident mode,
you can search by zip, by state and city, or by city only. In the resident
pop-up mode, you can be in a word processor or mailing list program or
database program, and when you enter a zip code, ZipKey will automatically
insert the city name, state name or abbreviation, and any other fixed
keystrokes you specify in any format you wish. The database can be loaded
into DOS RAM, in which case ZipKey will take about 148k, or left on disk or
put in EMS memory, in which case it will take only 19k of DOS RAM. It also
provides the telephone area code for each of over 30,000 cities in its
database.
The zip code database has been extensively checked for accuracy and compressed
to save space. Installation and use is very easy, the price is reasonable and
it doesn't take much RAM. What's not to love?. We consider this a must-have
for anyone who has to enter addresses into any kind of program.
